Job Summary Specifically looking for Assembly & Trim Technicians. You will be asked to process various tasks including trimming, bonding, assembly, and finishing of composite parts and assemblies.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform composite assembly and trim operations including part trimming, sanding, bonding, joining, and final assembly per work instructions and engineering documentation.
- Read and follow travelers, SOPs, drawings, and specifications.
- Maintain quality standards consistent with AS9100 and internal procedures.
- Accurately record labor, materials, and process data.
- Perform tool preparation, material handling, and equipment setup.
- Support continuous improvement and process development activities.
- Maintain clean, organized, and FOD-free work areas.
- Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Communicate technical issues, defects, and production risks to supervisors or engineering.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to meet schedule commitments.
Qualifications and Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function and assigned duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, competency, and/or abilities required.
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- Some college preferred but not required.
- Previous related experience preferred.
- Must be able to wear proper personal protective equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and focus on quality and accuracy.
- Must be able to accurately read general instruction known as “Travelers”.
- Mechanical aptitude to include the ability to read and interpret engineering specifications and work orders.
- Ability to safely use hand tools.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds with assistance.
- Ability to identify proper materials and supplies according to specifications.
- Team player with a strong desire to work in a fast-paced, professional environment.
- Ability to communicate verbally in one-on-one situations with management and co-workers; listen to others without interrupting and get clarification when needed.
- Exhibits dependability, including following instructions; responding to supervisor’s direction; and taking responsibility for own actions.
- Ability to follow priorities and plan work activities; use time efficiently; and work within deadlines.
