JOB TITLE: CNC PROGRAMMER              

REPORTS TO: CNC PROGRAMMER LEAD                                                      Direct Reports: N/A

 

POSITION SUMMARY  

Safely integrate knowledge, experience, collaborative approach and positive work ethic as a CNC Programmer in both our metals and plastics fabrication division. Making quality personal and going the extra mile is a consistent part of what you do.


You will be responsible for developing machining processes and programs for manufacturing of plastic and metal products in multiple-axis machining centers utilizing Solidworks, Catia, and Mastercam. You will identify and implement process improvement and cost reductions through productivity improvement, fixture design and machine time reductions.

JOB SKILL REQUIREMENTS

- Technical Aptitudes:

- Computer Skills/Knowledge: Catia, MasterCam, Esprit, Solidworks, MS Office, IQMS, JobBoss (or similar ERP)

- CAD/CAM

- Mathematics: GD&T and other calculations

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS 

T-     - Three (3) years of experience Setting Up and Running CNC & Manual Mills and Lathes

        - Two (2) years of experience programming 3 and 4 axis CNC machines

        - One (1) year of experience working with Solidworks and Mastercam

        - Experience with Vericut a plus

        - Modeling / Tool Design and drafting capabilities a plus.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES    

 Develop machining processes, fixtures and programs for the manufacturing of plastic products in multiple- axis     machining centers while interfacing with personnel in other departments.

  Interpret, analyze, and improve the following:

     o  part drawings, sketches, and design specifications,

     o  selection of cutting tools,

     o  machine speeds and feeds.

  Interface with Account Managers and Quality Assurance Inspectors to create manufacturing drawings from    

   customer supplied Model Based Definition CAD models.

  Create documentation that should include tool lists, that will instruct set-up and operation of the machining     

    centers. (Assist Machinists and Operators with implementing programs when necessary or as requested.)

  Optimize toolpaths.

  Work with Manufacturing Engineers to finalize assembly, process, or cost-reducing fixturing as needed.

  Maintain a clean, safe workplace and adhere to all safety policies.
