Job description
We are seeking an energetic, strategic, and highly organized Business Development & Marketing Manager to expand our market presence, strengthen our brand, and generate qualified opportunities for our consulting team.
This role is weighted approximately 70% Marketing and 30% Business Development, with a primary focus on developing and executing marketing initiatives that create awareness, engagement, and sales opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Leadership
- Develop and execute digital marketing strategies to improve brand awareness and generate qualified leads.
- Manage and expand the company’s presence across LinkedIn, website content, email campaigns, and other professional marketing channels.
- Improve Kocer Consulting and Engineering’s visibility in AI-driven and online search results.
- Create and publish engaging content including LinkedIn posts, case studies, industry insights, and client success stories.
- Coordinate website updates, SEO initiatives, and marketing optimization efforts.
- Track campaign performance and marketing metrics to improve lead generation effectiveness.
- Coordinate participation in trade shows, conferences, workshops, and networking events.
- Develop marketing collateral including presentations, brochures, flyers, and capability statements.
- Lead initiative to maintain past client relationships and gauge customer satisfaction of all current clients.
- Build and maintain targeted prospect lists and outreach campaigns.
- Support CRM management, contact database growth, and marketing automation initiatives.
Business Development
- Attend industry events and networking functions to represent the company and develop relationships.
- Conduct outreach and follow-up activities to qualify leads and schedule meetings for consulting leadership.
- Participate in introductory sales conversations alongside company directors and consultants.
- Help identify strategic partnership opportunities within the manufacturing and technology ecosystem.
- Support proposal coordination and client pursuit activities as needed.
Requirements
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with digital marketing, content development, and social media management.
- Strong understanding of LinkedIn and B2B marketing strategies.
- Organized and self-directed with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
- Experience with CRM systems and marketing tracking tools.
- Strong technical aptitude and comfort using modern marketing and business software tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in B2B marketing or industrial/manufacturing-related industries.
- Familiarity with manufacturing, supply chain, ERP systems, or operational consulting environments.
- Existing relationships with manufacturers within the Puget Sound manufacturing community.
- Experience supporting lead generation campaigns and sales pipeline development.

Pay and Benefits
- Salaried employee: $90,000 – $110,000 depending on experience
