Technical Tooling makes tooling for composite parts manufacturers. We have proprietary material technology that provides for better tools at a better price for better results. We have two primary tooling systems: 1) vacuum fixtures for trim ops and 2) layup molds. Our vacuum fixtures deliver reduced scrap rates through superior holding force and provide rapid part changeover. Vacu-Gripr, an engineered porous granular media that forms to any 3-dimensional contour of a given part, providing support while simultaneously allowing full vacuum throughout the entire contact area. Repair/modification of the tool is also easy and inexpensive. Our layup mold technology is a revolutionary advancement in LM tooling for short run programs and prototyping. Utilizing our 8000 series base material we are able to achieve CTE's nearly equivalent to carbon fiber, making it the optimal choice over Invar, with similar performance. These materials allow for processes that reduce both production time and cost.
